Giddy up cowgirl, it’s a Big Sky adventure!

Dare's inception took root at the Nine Quarter Circle Ranch in September 2017, becoming an annual pilgrimage since and set to return in 2024. Venturing off the beaten path onto the ranch's dirt road is akin to stepping back in time—into a slower, more hands-on way of life governed by the cowboy code. Operated by the third generation of the Kelsey Family, this ranch is nestled in a stunning high mountain river valley, home to over 100 Appaloosa horses. At the ranch, each Detourer gains a companion for the week—a horse to traverse the breathtaking Lee Metcalf Wilderness daily. The experience includes campfire tales, hayloft dancing, fly fishing attempts, creative explorations, and the rejuvenation unique to the tranquility of vast nature. I truly cannot wait for the arrival of the next group of Darlings to the ranch this year!
